About me and my art
I am an artist and illustrator, living in Bristol, in the United Kingdom. I make original paintings, art prints and greetings cards, and take commissions.
I studied art at foundation level after leaving school, but didn't pursue it at university. I have always painted, and set up my business as an artist in May 2015.
I like art which is colourful and beautiful. For example Van Gogh's Irises and Blossom paintings, and Nita Engle's watercolours. I am drawn to art with a sense of the wild and uncanny, such as Kate McGwire's wonderful feather sculptures. I love greetings cards, which to me are art for everyone. I also love children's book illustrations, particularly those by Errol le Cain.
All of the images and artwork on this site were created by me. I use a mixture of media: watercolour, oils, and digital media, (both on the macbook and with iPad apps). All the prints are printed locally to archive standards.
Bristol is a great place to be an artist. There is a large artistic community for moral support, advice and to be inspired by. There are lots of galleries and art events, for example the city has 9 arts trails! And the city itself is beautiful - from my window I have a view of green hills.

“Thanks so much for ...all the care you have taken. I think I like it more each time I look at it”. Sue F.
If life is a series of moments, maybe art is capturing the moments of beauty that capture us.
