I am going to be showing my artwork at the Knowle Constitutional Club as part of the wonderful Totterdown Front Room Arts Trail. It is the oldest art trail in Bristol, and has around 200 professional and amateur artists displaying and selling their artwork.Read More
I'm delighted that Artfinder have accepted me as one of their artists, and my shop with them is now open. Showing my work on Artfinder was one of my goals from the beginning of setting up my art business. I really like the design and layout of Artfinder, it presents the art beautifully, and worldwide.
The map for the arts trail is now ready and available to download here.
I've been having fun making a flag to go outside Margot May for the arts trail, based on the poster by Sam Auden of Design and Tonic. It's out for printing at the moment, back on the 6th with any luck. Then just need to borrow a sewing machine to put it together!
And the finished flag...
This morning I took three landscape paintings into the Grant Bradley Gallery for the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail Exhibition. I was really pleased when they contacted me and asked me to submit some pictures. It was a bit last minute getting them finished though - I was painting until 2am this morning finishing the last one!
These are the three pictures I've submitted. All are the same size and shape, and are framed the same, so hopefully will work well as a set.
Other artists taking part in the exhibition are Alex Rezende, Anna Boss, George Harding, Judy Swaffin, Kari Warrener, Lucie Sheridan, Rupert Peploe, Ruth Ander, Sam Auden, and William Duncan.
The exhibition runs from 6 May until 29 May.
I'm going to be showing my work at the gorgeous Margot May Tearoom on North Street, Bristol, as part of the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail. The trail is on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of May. There will be several other artists showing their work at the venue as well, so plenty to see!
The Southbank Bristol Arts Trail is one of the biggest and best established in Bristol. Over a 150 artists will be showing their work at lots of venues throughout BS3 (Southville and Bedminster). There are also performances (many at the Acta Theatre) and workshops on all weekend. There will be maps available listing all of the artists, venues and events, nearer the time.
